Journal Quilt April 2011 based on theme of circles and plants grown in the lab. Background pieced from African damask tie dye and Chinese shibori .Images of Petri dishes on racks manipulated in Photoshop ('Find edges' filter) printed on Jacquard inkjet cotton sheets backed with Bondaweb. Cut out petri dishes to apply then decided I liked the 'holes' left behind so used both - positive and negative shapes. Machine quilted.
