Inspiration from an old section of door with remnants of paint that pick out the patterns of woodgrain. A woodgraining 'rocker' tool from a decorating shop was used to make patterns in acrylic paint on a piece of plastic and then monoprints taken using silk noile fabric. Some more acrylic paint applied with palette knife after machine quilting between the paint lines.
